This is a great opportunity to join the front office technology team at one of largest integrated energy and commodity trading companies in the world.

We are looking for a keen hands-on technologist with expose to the Commodities or Financial services industries. You will work on full stack solutions to support Trading, Middle Office and Risk users across the business and must be passionate about technology with experience developing enterprise-wide solutions.

You will report into the Head of Trading Technology working on a multi-year program of work developing best of breed propriety solutions. Collaborating with your peers, you will liaise closely with technologists across the global teams as well as our key business stakeholders to ensure solutions integrate into our landscape seamlessly.

Key responsibilities

Hands on development role with significant technical & ownership responsibilities, working closely with business users to understand processes and capture requirements Constantly looking to challenge status-quo, bringing your own ideas and strive for improvement Acquiring business knowledge and system knowledge to further individual development Represent and promote Mercuria Technology, both internally and externally

Technical expertise

4+ years’ experience developing enterprise applications with strong C# & SQL/relational database knowledge Full stack development using modern web frameworks such as React Real time messaging as well as service oriented technologies Modern DevOps best practices such as automation, CI/CD, Orchestration & Observability Cloud exposure (ideally AWS or Azure) and understanding of how it can be utilized in a hybrid environment Ideally Commodities or Financial Services background

Non-technical Skills

Fluent English with good communication and organizational skills Passion for technology and innovation Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure Analytical and critical thinking with ability to problem solve complex issues
